Exfoliate your life

Hey everyone, so today we are going to touch a little bit on Exfoliants.

These can be a helpful and useful additions to your soaps and make up the premise of most scrubs.

So, what IS an exfoliant? By definition it is a cosmetic product designed to remove dead cells from the surface of the skin.

Usually these are mildly abrasive to your skin in order to remove the dead cell from the surface. These can be naturally sourced as well as chemically designed exfoliants. Here are some examples of a natural exfoliants: Sugar, Oatmeal, Almonds, Coffee, Sea Salt, Flax Seeds, Ground Coconut, Poppy Seeds and Baking Soda.

These ingredients can be worked into either bars of soap, whipped soaps or scrubs in order to exfoliate your skin while you are washing it.

We offer Scrubs featuring Organic Sugars, Coloured Sugars. We have Whipped Soaps with Ground Coconut. And we also have Scrub Bars that feature Oatmeal, along with Large Bars of soap that have Poppy Seeds in them. You can find them by searching any of those keywords into the Search function of our online Store or if you're so inclined make some for yourself at home. You can find them here: Http://www.swankysoapcanada.com

Exfoliating your skin is JUST as important as cleaning it, and moisturizing it is for it's health. If you don't exfoliate your skin what happens? I'll tell you what, gross dead skin gets backed up and clogs your pores...AND your skin will never feel it's ultimate best it can - unless you clear the dead stuff away before treating the good stuff.

So until next time, keep your skin Swanky everyone.
